OPENING ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PERIODE ISCOMS 2019
Het International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences (ISCOMS) is een van de meest
toonaangevende congressen ter wereld op het gebied van biomedische wetenschappen. Dit
jaar zal de 26 e editie plaatsvinden van 3 tot en met 7 juni 2019 in Groningen. Tijdens het
congres biedt ISCOMS studenten vanuit de hele wereld een unieke kans om hun onderzoek
te presenteren.
Daarnaast kun je deelnemen aan interactieve workshops en je laten inspireren door lezingen
van topwetenschappers. Dit jaar verwelkomen wij onder andere Nobelprijswinnaar Prof.
Mario R. Capecchi PhD.
Ook dit jaar zijn wij op zoek naar Nederlandse studenten die onderzoek hebben gedaan en
dit willen presenteren op ISCOMS. Vanaf 29 oktober 2018 tot en met 7 februari 2019 kun je
een abstract van je onderzoek opsturen. Ook het insturen van een abstract van je bachelor
project is toegestaan! Uit de inzendingen wordt vervolgens een selectie gemaakt van
studenten die hun onderzoek op het congres mogen presenteren in de vorm van een poster,
oral of plenaire sessie. Hierbij zijn verschillende (geld)prijzen te winnen, waaronder de
HANNN award voor het abstract dat het meest bijdraagt aan de wetenschap over Healthy
Ageing. Kortom: een fantastische kans om jouw onderzoek te presenteren aan een breed en
internationaal publiek!

OPENING ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PERIOD ISCOMS 2019
The International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences (ISCOMS) has grown into one of
the world’s leading (bio)medical congresses. This year the 26 th edition will take place from
the 3 rd until the 7 th of June 2019 in Groningen. During this congress ISCOMS will offer
students from all over the world a unique opportunity to present their research.
Besides this, ISCOMS offers the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops and get
inspired by lectures by top scientists. This year among others we will welcome Nobel prize
winner Prof. Mario R. Capecchi PhD.
For this upcoming edition we are, once again, looking for Dutch students who have done
research and would like to present this during the ISCOMS. You can submit your abstract
from the 29 th of October 2018 until the 7 th of February 2019. Bachelor projects will also be
accepted!
A selection will be made of the best submitted researches which may then be presented by
the students in a poster, an oral or plenary session. Moreover, by presenting you may also
win prizemoney and several great rewards, such as the HANNN award for the abstract that
contributes most to the science of Healthy Ageing.
