Volunteers Required for Perception Experiments
I am looking for volunteers to do some perception studies. The work will be used as part of my research fellowship on finding ways to automatically analyse human social behaviour. If you would like to get an insight into research work, this is the best place to start! The experiment should take about 1 hour to complete and will be held at the UvA Science Park. The experiment will be conducted in English so please bear this in mind when volunteering.
Participants will be rewarded 10 Euro.

Internships in collaboration with Philips Research
Five master internship projects are available for talented and motivated students at Philips Research in Eindhoven. These are joint projects between Philips Research and ACTA, supervised by ACTA.
During these internships we attach great value to offering a variety of interesting graduation projects to students from all kinds of backgrounds. During an internship, you will find yourself dealing with a diverse team of people from all over the world, taking on challenges and exploring opportunities for professional and personal growth. You may even find yourself traveling across the globe!
To be successful in this internship you:
- are able to work independently;
- can take the ownership of the project;
- are a quick learner;
- have a hands-on experimental work with (biological) samples;
- are pro-active;
- have an practical approach and are pragmatic;
- have knowledge of microbiology and/or biophysics;
- are fluent in oral and written English or Dutch
Philips Research offers a generous allowance for expenses and efforts during the internship..
The five projects are:
1. Biofilms and nanoparticles
2. Gingival Perfusion
3. Microbiological teeth whitening
4. Multispecies biofilm
5. Realistic bioreactor for oral biofilms
